THE RM PETIT CAKES STORY

Hi! I'm Rachel and I'm the founder and owner of RM Petit Cakes. I was born and raised in Memphis and I've seen it evolve so much over the last 30 years. I have always had a passion for food and baking.

As a college student, attending Christian Brothers University, I worked at local restaurants. When I started working in a kitchen for the first time, I realized quickly that I wanted to pursue a career in the culinary world. When I graduated from CBU, I moved to Hyde Park, NY and attended the Baking and Pastry program at The Culinary Institute of America.

After graduating from the CIA in 2008, I moved back to Memphis and RM Petit Cakes was born! Unfortunately, at the beginning, RM Petit Cakes was a side gig for me. I pursued a career in Culinary education, while catering pastries on the side. My passion for baking and creating beautiful, custom desserts has driven me to pursue RM Petit Cakes as a full time career.
 

RM Petit Cakes just opened its first retail bakery in Downtown Memphis! We are sharing a retail space with Mucho, LLC. Together, we are working under one roof as "Primas Bakery and Boutique" at 523 S. Main!
